I’d like to offer up a big thank you to everyone who has replied to searches posted here over the past few years, because without you this community would not be able to function. And I’d like to thank everyone who has posted a search here, as well, because without you, this community would be pointless.
For new and old members alike, I’d also like to take a moment to remind everyone what they can post here and of a couple important rules.
What types of searches you can post here: Pretty much anything! That’s right, we’re not just a fic find comm anymore. About two years ago, we expanded to include all your Numb3rs-related finding needs, from fic to graphics, interviews to websites, episode info to meta. If it has anything to do with Numb3rs, it’s a safe bet that you can ask about it here. (The only exception is certain *coff* downloads.)
If you’re inclined to include the caveat, “If this isn’t allowed here . . .” then you may want to take a gander at the rules before posting. If you’re still uncertain whether your search/query is allowed, please feel free to e-mail me at spikedluv @ livejournal.com and ask before you post.
A couple important rules: Please read the rules before posting a search. There aren’t many, and their main focus is to A) make it easier for me to tag/memory the posts (and ultimately easier for someone searching the comm to find later), and B) attempt to keep the same searches from hitting your f-list over and over again (so please don’t forget to check the tags before you post, in case your fic, or other Numb3rs-related item, has already been found).
The two most important posting rules are: 1) only one search per entry and 2) include a descriptive subject line.
Some other stuff that’s come up:
Community Policy on so-called “Self-Rec’ing”: We’re a fic find comm, not a rec comm, so answering someone’s search for a specific fic, or fic that fit a certain scenario, is not the same as recommending that fic. If your fic (or other Numb3rs-related creation) fits the request, then please, by all means, mention it! (The only time “self-rec’ing” would not be appropriate is if it makes you, the creator, feel the least bit uncomfortable.)
Be Kind: It’s not something that we’ve to worry about much here, so there isn’t yet a specific rule for it, but please, be kind in your replies. If the language or tone of a reply has caused someone to feel unwelcome here, or to delete their search, then that reply was probably inappropriate. So please, just make sure that you moderate your tone and/or language when replying to searches here.
Inappropriate Content & Abiding by the Rules: Please rest assured that I will let a poster know if a search is inappropriate for this community, or if they’re not following the rules; that’s not something anyone else has to concern themselves with.
Thank you.

If not, I'll shut up.

That's exactly what this comm is, and if you're talking about the fic that was just posted here, I've already handled the matter. I'm sure she just clicked on the wrong comm when she was posting, since she's never posted fic here before.
