Am looking for a fic I read recently, but can't remember where I found it.
Don has just returned from a long undercover mission working for drug dealers in Columbia/Mexico. While he is staying at the family home to recover, Charlie discovers that he was whipped and that he had to be rescued at the last minute. There was fantastic family interaction.

Hi I'm new here and I hope I'm doing this right. I read a fic awhile ago and can't seem to find it again. In this one Don goes away on some dangerous undercover mission thing. Charlie meanwhile has made friends with Ethan from Prime Suspect and is helping him with his project. (at least I think thats who it was). Anyways he becomes friends with the family and ends up babysitting and stuff. I think the parents die when a tree falls on their car and Charlie ends up looking after the kid, adopting em maybe. I can't remember. Don comes back and finds Charlies changed by the loss of his friends and from being suddenly thrust into parenthood. Can anyone please help me? For some reason I'm having a craving for this fic.
