Hi! Me again,

I read the post where someone was looking for fics involving children and this fic popped into my head: Charlie has the guardianship of a little girl because he knew her mother. I think that at the beginning the little girl doesn't talk (I don't remember why) At first, Charlie doesn't know what to do with her but later on, he developps real fatherly love and adopts her. I remember a scene at the end where Charlie gives her a puppy and later on he (Charlie) is hit by a car looking for the puppy. It's nothing serious but then the little girl calls him daddy.
I'm sure it was on ffnet but it's been 1 hour since I've been looking and I can't find it! It's driving me wild...please, help me!
