looking for a Don story
May. 13th, 2014 11:39 amitacountrygirl.livejournal.comi cleary remember this story Don was kidnapped as a kid (around 11) and held prisoner for several years...he was able to freed himself but he didn't return to his family (he was brainwashed)....he joined the FBI changing his surname. He got trasnsfered to Los Angeles and visit his mother at the hospital. He held the same position as in the show and from time to time Charlie help him. At a certain point the man who kidnapped Don return and kidnapps and kill several kids...Don is able to find out the kidnapper and kill him...during the story Charlie has the feeling that Don is his brother and he was able to have a DNA test...the author wrote a sequel to this story and wrote another AU story where Don didn't go to college because his parents died and he must take care of Charlies (who was around 13 years) . I'm sure it was posted on Fanfiction.net and i think also on the LJ of the author....thanks

It took place in the wild west and Don was the sheriff and Charlie was the town's teacher. I want to say that it was Ian/Charlie but I may be wrong. One memorable point I remember was that because of ear infections that Charlie had as a child, he gets motion sick from riding horses so he has to follow the group on a donkey whenever they have to ride somewhere.

I've been rewatching Numb3rs lately, but I've fallen out of fandom for a while now, but I'm craving certain kinds of fic and I hope maybe you can help me ^_^
1) Are there any Margaret!lives scenario stories out there? Either she didn't get sick, or she survived the cancer and how that would impact the story?
2) For that matter any pre-series story from Margaret's POV or centered around her (preferably when Don and Charlie have both already been born)
3) Are there any Don and Charlies high school reunion stories? Or Don's college friends meeting Charlie pre-series
4) Anything where Charlie has to speak at a FBI conference or for some other reason comes into prolonged contact with the guys at Quantico, Alberquerque etc.?

- It's an AU, Colby is still FBI agent, but Don (and maybe Charlie) are suspects in some case.
- People in the office know that Colby is gay, which is why he gets to go undercover looking for work from Don, who (they suspect) will find him attractive.
- Someone tells Colby something along the lines that if he doesn't/can't/won't do this undercover job he may as well leave the office.
- Don thinks that Colby is too perfect and intends to investigate his background.
- Don does think that Colby is attractive; I think he orders Colby to strip or something. Colby doesn't want to, but he does it anyway to get close to Don.
- I'm pretty sure sex happens, but I don't know if it's an actual scene or just alluded to. Colby thinks the sex was great.
- Through all this, Charlie may or may not have been present.
- Pretty sure it's WIP.
I'd really appreciate any help you can give me!

LF Third Eppes brother fic

The brother (I cant remember his name) was some sort of government agent or something similar and something happened where he had to fake his death and Don, Alan, and everyone else all believe he is dead but only Charlie knows the truth because of his NSA consulting and security clearance. Don ends up finding out somehow that his brother is still alive and they end up sort of getting reacquainted with one another and I think Alan eventually finds out too. I think Ian Edgerton had something to do with Don finding out his brother is alive and Don gets mad at Ian maybe??? Anyone know what fic this is?

I happen to think that the producers missed a huge chance to shake things up with how they ended "angels & devils." So I'm looking for any AU fics that really mix up how it ended: what if Amita had been killed? or if the kidnapping makes her say "I'm outta this crazy life you dragged me into" & she dumps Charlie. Even better if this ends up bringing Megan back so she and Larry can be together. Or what if the cult guy was smarter than Amita thought & figured out her trick, got away and dragged Amita with him--I see a manhunt with Ian, Don and the guys.

Dec. 28th, 2008 09:50 pmratcreatureI've been wondering whether there were any historical AUs set during WWII, for example with Charlie working as code breaker, or Larry as part of the Manhattan project, or Don as soldier... Any scenario set during WWII, though in case the story cast Charlie or Don not as part of the Allied forces but as Jewish Holocaust victims or the like, it would have to be well researched to not squick me by using concentration camps as main story setting in distorted ways or for cheap melodrama effects. I'm not into incest fic, but otherwise I'm not particular about pairings.
