Stockholm Syndrome (Gen or slash)

Hi everyone,

I have a craving for fics in which our hero gets psychologically manipulated into empathizing with a baddie, maybe in a kidnapping situation. The empathy should make the rescue effort difficult.

I don't care who the protagonists are or what the pairing is. I just want good writing. I'd prefer a meaty read, too.

It doesn't even have to be in the Numb3rs fandom, if anyone feels like branching out...

If you havent' already read it, dsudis's Missing Persons is a long, lovely, angsty read at 250,000 words. Charlie is kidnapped, Don ends up trapped with him, and it gets even messier from there. *g* Slash, Don/Charlie.

I have read it. It's great, but doesn't really hit the Stockholm syndrome definition. :) But yes, one of my faves.

*nods* Don doesn't quite get there, but it was a fascinating journey.

I can't think of any true Stockholm Syndrome fics off the top of my head, so I'll look forward to seeing what else gets recced.

I have read it. It's good but beware if you start--the sequel is a WIP and doesn't look like it will ever be updated. It stops on a cliffhanger, too.
