L/F First Time fics

Hi all... was hoping some of you can lead me to fics in which (preferably) Charlie is just getting together with his lover.  While I love good smut, I'd really like to feel that initial heady rush of a new relationship.  I like C/Larry, C/Colby, C/Ian and C/David.  I'd love to read of flirting and first kisses.  Just link me to the ones that made you squee just from the burgeoning love.

There are sub-series in irena_adler's 'Watson' (http://irena-adler.livejournal.com/3840.html) series where Charlie initiates a short-term relationship with David (Balancing the Equation, A New Gravity) and begins a long-term relationship with Colby (It Changes Everything, It Changes Everything: Charlie).

Also, off the top of my head, is penguingal and schnaucl's collaboration series called 'Triangulation' (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?keyword=Triangulation-verse&user=penguin_fics&sortby=des). The first part is called 'Breaking Point'(Don/Charlie).

Since I just recently reread 'Watson' and 'Triangulation', I think I'm pretty safe.

Oh, and dance_the_code's 'Conference Wives' (http://dance-the-code.livejournal.com/2029.html) series. That one is Charlie/Ian, although I can't remember where it starts.

I have hundreds of Numb3rs fic, so I'm going to have to put some thought into this to see what I remember. I am assuming you don't want Don/Charlie first times, het first times, or first times with anyone but Charlie, so correct me if that's not the case.

The Obshina Series (http://emmademarais.livejournal.com/2006/10/19/) is Charlie/Ian. You might like that, but it's more angsty than sweet.

Teacher's Pet (http://emmademarais.livejournal.com/2006/11/28/) is Charlie/Oswald from Hardball and Democracy.

The one I recommend though, is A Shift in the Continuum which is Charlie/Ethan from Prime Suspect. It's a long slow building relationship story. No porn, but there is some nice affection in it.

That's the fic that made betas squeal with glee (ok squee since that's ostensibly where the word squee comes from) at how sweet they were together. So flirty, first kisses, burgeoning love? All check.

Ethan's a great match for Charlie and I thought DK was wonderful on screen with NPH during that episode. That almost no one else slashes them astounds me.

P.S. Ash and Pines might just be my favorite of all my fic...

Thanks for the rec! :) Of my stories, I think It Changes Everything (http://irena-adler.livejournal.com/8800.html) would best fit the bill. In it, Colby finds out that David has slept with Charlie and is furious because he's been in love with Charlie for a while. So Colby tries to figure out how to approach Charlie, but fate intervenes in a big way when they're kidnapped together.

If you like Charlie/Larry, you might want to check out Mariam Heddy
. I think she does the paring really well and some of the stories are definitely about new love. I really enjoyed Identity Theft.
