looking for Don stories.

Hello everybody!!! *waves cheerfully*

I'm a sparkling new fan of the amazing show: Numb3rs. To get a bit more intel on the show I've already read some stories, but noticed (rather annoyingly) that there are very few good Don stories out there on the net. So that's where (hopefully) you all come in: Please, please if you know any good Don stories let me know!!! hurt!don, smart!don I don't really care...Gen or slash preferably (epcest is also welcome ) but if you know an awesome het one just let me know...I really just want to read some good stories with Don as the main character.

Ps: I read almost everything on fanfiction.net so please don't give me links to only ff stories.....I know that there are other sites out there.....I just haven't found them yet

It's 3:15AM so I don't think my brain is up to recs (other than penguin_fics), but here's a bit of info that might be helpful if you haven't seen it yet.

Newbies Guide to Numb3rs on Live Journal (http://community.livejournal.com/newbieguide/11697.html)

There are a number of Don centric comms and you'll find them listed on that page. By reviewing the comms you'll be able to see what authors write Don the most.

There's also a Master List of Master Lists (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs_notice/239785.html) containing links to the Master Fic Lists of many of the authors who write the fandom. numb3rs100 also hosts an Author List (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs100/376287.html) that breaks links down into drabbles and all N3 fic. If you like short fic there's also a Drabble Series Master List (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs100/318723.html).

You should be able to find quite a bit of good reading from those links. Off LJ look for CSI Library - although from what I remember it had pretty much a subset of what you'd find at Numb3rs.org and FF.net.

P.S. FWIW you mentioned gen, het and slash, but since cestfic is popular in this fandom you might want to edit your post to say whether you do or don't want cestfic recs included.

In that case, add eppescest to your list of comms to check out. I'm not much of a Don!girl (I write him tons, but I'm more interested in reading Charle, so I can't think off the top of my head what fic are Don centric enough to recommend.) I'd hit the archives of this comm though. There have been quite a few recs including Parallel Connections and Missing Persons - two long works by two very popular authors who are no longer with the fandom: both Don/Charlie.

thanks...before I posted my request I first searched this community for Don stories and came across your recs....so I'm sad to say that I already read all those. But if you ever come across new ones: I'm so here for that!!! :) Anyway thanks for trying to help me

C2 communities

I think you need to check out the two C2 communities on fanfiction.net if these stories are new to you, because I think they are all listed in Control to 3695 at least. There are over 400 Don stories there, of all kinds, some better than others. Live Journal seems to be more of a place for Charlie and Colby fans, and I rarely find any good Don here myself, though I check periodically. Of course, if I'm wrong and anyone knows where some good Don is hiding here, I'd love to know that myself.

As someone who's written over 400 Numb3rs fic and almost no Charlie/Colby at all? If you're finding only Charlie/Colby on LJ you're not really looking. Tons of other pairings and tons of gen here.

(And did anyone read the original post where the person says *don't* give them links to FF.net? Seriously. They did their research, don't assume they didn't.)

Well, I'm the most prolific Numb3rs author on LJ so my back catalog alone means there's plenty of Don to read here. Hehehe (irena_adler is likely in second so hit her back catalog for fic as well.)

I've been trying to get my roomie to rec you some Don, but she's been kind of swamped. Off the top of my head, I can send you to a few authors who I know write Don well.

Mags penguingal and Cyn schnaucl write together at penguin_fics, but don't miss den_of_cyn which is Cyn's new solo writing LJ. Cyn also does recs which are quite handy.

sororcula and rubynye don't write anywhere near as often as I'd like, but they both do some nice Don fic. The former runs the Het fic comm and the latter is one of my favorite current Don/Charlie authors.

For all out porn? Try cpwatcher. /fans self/

On the drabble front give magisterequitum and serotonin_storm a read.

For older fic, audrarose and dsudis were once the best loved in the fandom, but have since left. Once upon a time raeyashi was good too, but there's only a handful of fic there so not sure how much effort you want to make searching for them.

As far as people who are Don fans (you might want to see what they like or friend them): elysium1996, julietm, admiralandrea.

I just woke up so I'm sure I'm missing some people, but hopefully that gives you some more place to poke around.

And if you want self-recs, I'd be happy to point you to some of my Don fic. Just tell me what you like to read and I'll find you something.

Oh, and in case I forgot to say so before, make sure you check out eppescest, eppes_slash and numb3rs100. I run the last comm in that last and don't belong to the middle one, but I do know it's Don/Billy and Charlie/Colby centered so it fits what you like somewhat. rounds_of_kink also has a good amount of Numb3rs fic in its archive.
