Welcome to the fandom!

It's 3:15AM so I don't think my brain is up to recs (other than [livejournal.com profile] penguin_fics), but here's a bit of info that might be helpful if you haven't seen it yet.

Newbies Guide to Numb3rs on Live Journal (http://community.livejournal.com/newbieguide/11697.html)

There are a number of Don centric comms and you'll find them listed on that page. By reviewing the comms you'll be able to see what authors write Don the most.

There's also a Master List of Master Lists (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs_notice/239785.html) containing links to the Master Fic Lists of many of the authors who write the fandom. [livejournal.com profile] numb3rs100 also hosts an Author List (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs100/376287.html) that breaks links down into drabbles and all N3 fic. If you like short fic there's also a Drabble Series Master List (http://community.livejournal.com/numb3rs100/318723.html).

You should be able to find quite a bit of good reading from those links. Off LJ look for CSI Library - although from what I remember it had pretty much a subset of what you'd find at Numb3rs.org and FF.net.

Good luck!

P.S. FWIW you mentioned gen, het and slash, but since cestfic is popular in this fandom you might want to edit your post to say whether you do or don't want cestfic recs included.
