LF Don forced to hurt Charlie

Are there any stories out there where Don (or David, Colby, Coop or Ian) is forced to hurt Charlie? Either physically or sexually, but to stop someone else hurting him. Like, they've all been captured by the bad guys, and the agents are given a choice - If they don't hurt Charlie, then the bad guys will, so Don (et al) hurt Charlie so they can control how much they hurt him.

Hah! I found it.

Actually, I thought that was more Don Angst, then Charlie Angst.

Could be true. But it met the request, so I figured I'd point it out.

You recced my fic! Woo! :)

It's a pretty unique one, and it's disturbing mood stuck with me for a long time. :)

Thank you. That's lovely to hear. :) It made the nomination shortlist of numb3rsfanfic awards at the time, which really surprised me b/c you don't know how many people read and enjoy a story without hearing from the readers. Guess it had more than the 2 or 3 who commented on it. :) That's why I try to leave feedback to every story I read. As an author, I know how nice it feels to get it! LOL

You're so right about that! I have been lucky on my stories (plus I publish pretty rarely, so my friends tend to speak up) but I hear from authors I beta for how heartbreaking it is to only get a comment or two. I try to leave lots of comments now.

Despite how much I enjoy them, I think angsty, disturbing stories are tougher to comment on, unless I know the author well enough to feel comfortable saying something like "Ouch! *cries* the poor boys! You must make them feel better immediately. :D" without offending.

Even my slashwife [livejournal.com profile] emmademarais has some pieces that were mighty uncomfortable to weigh in on. :shrugs:

Are you still watching or writing N3?

[identity profile] amproof.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
I understand. Sometimes I read a fic and sit there thinking, how on earth am I going to put how I feel into words? LOL

I still love Numb3rs. At xmas I got season 3 and got my mom and my cousin into it. (My cousin even drew me an adorable picture of anime!Charlie at his desk--complete with a coffee mug that had a misspelled word on it (added even without knowing that Charlie can't spell, she said she figured he had to have 1 flaw.)

I've been too busy to be too involved in any fandom for awhile, but recently I'm slowly coming back in. I'm currently writing a 10 part series set in the Life on Mars fandom. (Which, if you haven't watched that show, you should--it's a cop show set in 1973 Manchester with a big ol' twist.) Before that, I did a doctor who story, just easing myself back into writing. I do have a numb3rs story in the works, has been for a really long time. I don't expect it will be posted, though. 2 reasons: It's not done, don't know if it will be and reason it isn't done is I can't believe I'm writing it. It's charlie whumping to the extreme, so much so that I don't know that others need to be subjected to it. Seriously. I don't even know why I'm subjecting myself to it!

I'm glad you're easing back into fandom! :) Numb3rs fangirls are my happy thought.

I can't believe I'm writing it. It's charlie whumping to the extreme, so much so that I don't know that others need to be subjected to it. Seriously. I don't even know why I'm subjecting myself to it!.

Now you sound like [livejournal.com profile] emmademarais. :) she has described a few of her fic to me in terms like those.

You know there are a lot of people who really enjoy big whumpage. If you're interested in some support while you finish that fic, I suggest [livejournal.com profile] ficfinishing. It's designed just for that, and I find it really helpful.

[identity profile] amproof.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a big fan of whumpage. I've written some doozies, but I'm just not comfortable with this one. It's downright pornographic. The premise is 2 of Charlie's former students sexually assaulting him in his home while Alan is downstairs, unaware of what is happening.

I'm concentrating on finishing my Life on Mars fic now, which is going really well. What I'll probably do is start a totally new Numb3rs fic eventually.

Now I'm totally pimping Life On Mars. It's about to be made into a series on U.S. tv, and it looks horrible, due to bad casting of the lead, so I want everyone to get to know the original version and actors before this one turns up. *cringes* The main character is a total angst and whump bunny and the potentials for slash between him and his boss are enormous.

[identity profile] melissima.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! I had heard they were remaking Life On Mars, and that the new cast was less than stellar. I was avoiding the "good" version because it will make the new version suck all the more.

BUT it's summer and I have too much time on my hands, so you never know. I might just have to check it out.

[identity profile] amproof.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Reward yourself--watch the good version and avoid the bad one! The whole thing is only 16 episodes.

Alright, I'm not above making threats. Watch Life on Mars or Gene Hunt will make Sam cry.

Image

Sam hates crying in front of Gene, so you have to watch it now!

Not ready to head for the downloads yet (or however you can get your hands on it?)

Very well--the big guns. Youtube!

Fall in love with Gene Hunt here (and emo!Sam): (no spoilers)
